Care Giving/Wellness Ministry
The Care Giver Ministry is a volunteer ministry working under the umbrella of Congregational Care, and the direction of Rev, Vernessa Barnes. This ministry is comprised of both medical and non-medical volunteers, including nurses, social workers, and physicians. This ministry works in conjunction with the Sick and Visitation Ministry, Grief Ministry, and Wellness Ministry. As a result of referrals we offer assistance to our sick and home-bound members, as well as those in need of advocacy. While we do not provide direct care we can help you navigate the complex world of the healthcare system.
The objective of this ministry is to provide supportive service to Individuals with healthcare needs through advocacy, telephonic monitoring, assistance with errands, and community programs
Our Ministry conducts blood pressure screenings on Sunday mornings and monitors members’ blood pressure. We also respond to medical emergencies during services.
